Care & Maintenance

Care and Maintenance Plan for Installed Security Doors:

  1. Drying Screens:
    • Use a dry cloth or towel to wipe off excess moisture from the screens, especially after rainfall or cleaning.
  2. Preventing Standing Water:
    • Regularly inspect the areas around the security doors for any signs of standing water, specifically after rainfall.
    • Ensure that the drainage system around the doors is functioning properly to prevent water from pooling near the frames.
    • Promptly remove any standing water using a towel to prevent damage to the frames and screens.
  3. Lubrication:
    • Periodically lubricate the hinges and locks  with a silicone-based lubricant, avoiding oil-based products that can attract dirt and debris of the security doors to ensure smooth operation.
  4. Routine Inspection for stains:
    • Consider scheduling periodic inspections to assess for any animal urine stains/marks/etc.
    • Routine inspection can help identify potential issues early and ensure the long-term durability and effectiveness of the security doors. Promptly wipe off with wet and dry cloths. If necessary, use a garden hose to rinse and wipe with dry cloths to remove all moisture.

By following these care and maintenance guidelines, you can help ensure that your installed security doors remain in optimal condition, remain under warranty, and provide reliable protection for your home while keeping the screens dry and preventing standing water on the frames.
